Rolling An Entirely New Way

There are a few things that I found exciting about the 2010 Kia Soul commercial, none of which have anything to do with hamsters or cars. (Although I do find the name Soul relevant to my excitement, paying special attention to Merriam-Webster’s 3rd and 4th definition of soul:ˈsōl\ Function: noun 3: a person’s total self 4 a: an active or essential part b: a moving spirit : leader).

I often find myself excited by the possibility of change. I automatically translate change into words like ‘improvement’, ‘opportunity’, ‘nourish’, ‘civilized’, ’empowered’, ‘purpose’, ‘enlightened’, ‘rational’, ‘abundant’, ‘contribution’, ‘choice’, and ‘hope’. As a result, this translation also contributes to my numerous moments of disappointment and frustration, because the more I hear about change, the more things appear to stay the same. I have concluded that true change requires a commitment that will educate, then require different behavior from both the individual and the collective. More often than not, change is used to describe the introduction of new personnel or management, not new approaches, values or ways of existing. We always appear to be in the mode of fixing something that no longer works. I believe that sometimes, the most effective way forward is to bring a graceful end to that which is dysfunctional and start over. Normally, it’s our personal interests or fears that impede our ability to let go and make room for the new and improved.

Do we collectively have what it really takes to roll a new way or does selfishness and fear keep us bound to our hamster wheels?

I do accept as true with all of the concepts you have offered in your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for beginners. May you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post. bgaceddedebc
